Dear Qwist customer,
We would like to inform you that we will be activating the PSD2 APIs of the following banks in our production environments on Wednesday 22 November. This will apply to giro accounts only:
- apoBank
- Isbank
- Sydbank
- Bundesbank
What does it mean for your users?
After the PSD2 API has been enabled on production, new connections for the giro account will only be possible via the API access method. Existing giro accounts will not be automatically synchronised until we have received a valid consent, confirmed by a successfully completed 2nd factor authentication by your user. Every existing giro account connection to these banks has to be manually renewed by the end-user.
Before attempting to re-sync, it is important to ensure that the end-user is ready to perform strong customer authentication within your application. Depending on the strong customer authentication method chosen by the users from their banks, the SCA method could be decoupled or embedded.
Once this is done, accounts can be synchronised for a period of 180 days by default including our AutoSync (please note that this period may also depend on your configuration), without the need for a 2nd factor authentication.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards
your Qwist team
