We are pleased to inform you that we will be activating the PSD2 API of the following Sparda-Banks in our production environment.
- Date: Monday, 9th October
-
Banks:
- Sparda-Bank West
- Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg
- Sparda-Bank München
- Sparda-Bank Hessen
- Sparda-Bank Nürnberg
- Sparda-Bank Ostbayern
- Sparda-Bank Augsburg
What does it mean for your users?
Once we have enabled the PSD2 API in production, new giro account connections will only be possible via the API. Existing giro accounts will no longer be automatically synchronised until we have a valid consent from a successfully confirmed 2nd factor from your user. Each existing giro account connection to these Sparda-Banks must to be manually renewed by the end user.
To renew the consent, each end user must go through the following process once:
Once we have enabled the PSD2 API in production, new giro account connections will only be possible via the API. Existing giro accounts will no longer be automatically synchronised until we have a valid consent from a successfully confirmed 2nd factor from your user. Each existing giro account connection to these Sparda-Banks must to be manually renewed by the end user.
To renew the consent, each end user must go through the following process once:
- Qwist activates the PSD2 API.
- The user starts a manual synchronization.
- The user goes through the migration process within our RegShield UI or your own widget and is redirected to the website of Sparda-Bank to authorise access to his/her account data.
- The user will be redirected back to your application and the bank accounts can be regularly synchronised again.
Below we'll show you migration process:
The initial screen for synchronising accounts remains the same as it is today. This example includes multiple account types. Please note that only current accounts are aggregated via the PSD2 API:
Once the current account is selected, we will display an information message and the user will be redirected to the Sparda-Bank website.
In any case the user will have to confirm the new connection (API) by providing a 2nd factor.
Once this is done, the accounts can be synchronized again (including our AutoSync), without the need for a second factor. The last step will remain as it is today and the user will be redirected back to your application. Congratulations, the migration has been successfully completed!
If a user has only connected current accounts, the process will remain the same as shown above, but but we will not perform a split based on the different account types.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
Your Qwist Team
